The Sounds of Camp
The Bugle 7am every morning but Sunday and taps every evening at 9 p.m. We had buglers and the camp sound system down by the pool. The actual sounds of Reveille, Assembly, Colors, and Taps see below:

Phonograph recording on the PA system located under willow tree by the pool
Reveille was played to wake up the campers and you could hear the groans and moans.
Assembly was played to assemble the campers for flag raising and flag lowering.
Colors was played at flag raising followed by the "Pledge of Allegiance" see below*
Retreat was played at flag lowering.
Tattoo was played five minutes before taps to ensure everyone was ready for lights out.
Taps was sounded and lights were to be put out and everyone was to be quiet for sleep and ODs were posted on the Hill and down at the Bunkhouse.
